by Dear DDD
I have challenged myself to take my challenge of RECREATING ME.
I read my directions and answered the questions. Since starting the process, I have made little changes that I knew I could accomplish immediately. I have cut my hair shorter, adding more layers, and added highlights. It’s not a drastic change, but just enough to make me feel different and give me a more noticeable look.
I vowed to myself that I will no longer let my eyebrows grow in, giving me the look of a female wolf in waiting. No more stretching this process out until stray hairs start connecting my eyebrows together. As soon as that hair appears, it is time for a little waxing and I’m lifting the phone and making my appointment! Enough with spending every cent on everyone else. What is more important: my uni-brow or my kids downloading on iTunes?
With the money I am saving on my kids’ ITunes bill, this lucky lady is getting waxed from head to toe. (Ouch)
My biggest accomplishment that I have tackled in the last week is SMOKING!!!
I have taken the plunge to free my lungs, heart and skin from the damaging effects of the soothing release of a cigarette. I know it’s only 1 week, but one week is better than nothing.
Everyone has a vice (drinking, sex, gambling, etc.), but my vice was cigarettes. It relaxed the hell out of me. But no more smoking for me!!! I have made the commitment to quit the habit. For 1 week now I have hidden a pack just in case I needed to take a puff. Last night I took a picture of me throwing that dirty pack into the garbage!
Here is a message to all of my fun-loving friends; Ladies, you need to buy your own pack of cigarettes. I will no longer bring 6 packs to our next GIRLS NIGHT OUT for all of you closet smoking queens. I love you, but you need to come out of the closet and buy your own cigarettes.
